INSPECTALL-162 Inspection MobApp Home/CheckIn

Onsite Inspect now provides the ability to Check In / Out from a site in the same way that is possible using the Onsite Eye app.


This is not mandatory and you can still access projects and inspections manually.


Below is an example of the new user interface.

INSPECTALL-172 Provide Feedback

A provide feedback option has been implemented.


INSPECTALL-173 Configurable Cause/Rectify

There is a new template option to determine whether the roles for cause and rectify are shown for the template.


If this is not ticked then all items in the inspection will not have the option to capture the roles for cause and rectification.

INSPECTALL-174 Hide Inspections

You can now 'hide' Inspections in the same way that you can 'hide' Projects.

Slide the Inspection to the left and select Hide.



To see the inspections that have been hidden just click on the Hidden icon at the bottom of the screen.



To return the inspection to the Active list then swipe left on the inspection and select Unhide.

INSPECTALL-176 Inspection Template Default Report Behaviour

The use of the templates specified default report has been extended.

It is the report used as the format for notifications that are profiled to include/attach the report.

It is used as the default report selection when creating a DMS Automation for an inspection template.

INSPECTALL-177 Inspection Notifications to Customers

There was an issue where notifications for inspections that were for a customer was not returning the contacts linked to the project's customer. This issue has been resolved

INSPECTALL-179 Profiling How Custom Items Are Added

There is now more control over ad-hoc items for template inspections.


There are new template settings;




  • Allow ad hoc items to be raised? - This has to be ticked to allow the adding of ad-hoc items. The default is Yes.

  • Default group for ad hoc items - This is the group that any ad-hoc items will be added to by default.

  • Restrict ad hoc items to default group? - If selected the user cannot change the group the ad hoc items are added to and they will be placed automatically
    in the default group.


Below is an example. Four groups have been added.



Ad hoc items are allowed and will be placed in the group called Defects.



On the app the user will see the groups as normal. Note the Defects group does not need to be empty.


When the user adds an ad hoc item either by pressing the + or adding an action item



The item is automatically added to the Defects group

INSPECTALL-180 Preferences for Item Display

New preferences have been added

"Show item reference?" (Yes/No) (default Yes)
- This determines whethe the item reference is displayed

Show item notes?" (Yes/No) has been added (default should be No)
- This determines if the item notes are displayed

INSPECTALL-185 Reference to Project

When you are within the inspections page on the app you can see which project you are in.

Below is the project in the web appliance.



On the app you will see the details on the inspections screen.

INSPECTALL-186 Ability To Open All Items In An Inspection

An "Expand All" icon button/action has been added to the top right above the inspection groups that can expand/collapse all inspection groups within a structured inspection.



INSPECTALL-187 Primary / Secondary Client Details

As the people who sign an inspection are likely to be the customer or project contacts, these names are now available for selection so that they do not need to be typed each time.

The "Enter Your Name" field still allows free text but also provides a drop-down list showing Project Contacts and Customer Contacts.

INSPECTALL-188 Template resources available on the app

On a template there is an accordion for adding resources.



When you create an inspection from the template the resources are accessible.

On the app in the inspections screen you can click on the (i)



You will then be able to see the attachments.



You can then view them.


INSPECTALL-189 Inspection API Support for Templates

API support is now available for templates, allowing external parties, to see inspection template data and also create inspections based on a template. Contact Insula for detailed information.

INSPECTALL-191 Ability to recover database when app stuck in Tidy Up

There was an issue where if the app went into Tidy Up mode it could not recover and any unsynced data was lost. There is now an option to break out of the tidy up so the database can be recovered.

INSPECTALL-192 API for Manual Project Subscriptions

A licensee can control which projects a user has on their Inspection Mobile app (Both add and remove manual project subscriptions.)

Inspection Mobile updates projects on the device based on these subscriptions.


INSPECTALL-193 Numbering sequence for Ad-hoc items

Ad-hoc item numbering now starts from 1 rather than the total number of items in the inspection.


INSPECTALL-194 Inspection UI for Default Group

Previously the "Default group for ad-hoc items was not shown until groups were added. It is now shown by default so the page looks the same in all modes (Add, Edit,)

Additional standard/master orientations have been added to the Platform.

INSPECTALL-200 Limit Cause/Rectify Roles

You can now configure which roles are presented to users for Cause and Action/Rectify.


When a role has rhe indicated flag set it will allow the role to be selected for the cause or rectification of an item.

INSPECTALL-201 Contacts not appearing for Inspector

There was an issue when adding the contact to a project was not triggering a change to be recognised within the app so if the inspector already had the project on their device prior to the customer being added they would not see the contact.

This issue has been resolved.

INSPECTALL-221 Supplier Email Recipients

A new contact group has been added after Contacts screen called "{Licensee Name} Suppliers".


When expanded the user gets a list of vendor email addresses.


The "Connections" group has been renamed "Platform Connections"

The "Address Book" group has been renamed "Address Book (this device)"
