  4. Related items

DCMTALL-18 Archive Documents for Cancelled Projects

When a project/job cancels, there may be a desire for it's documents to no longer to be considered active and immediately visible in search results.

There is now a automatic process to "Archive All Documents" for a cancelled object. This process marks all active documents linked to the object as inactive.

DCMTALL-20 Remove Licensee Role from WebApps

To prevent anonymous DMS changes (Done under the Licensee perspective in the quadrant) the Document Licensee is no longer a valid role for Document WebUser.

This change does not prevent any feature/action from being performed by system administrators.

DCMTALL-22 Folder and Document Count Visibility when Browsing by Object

Changes have been made to the display of counts and folders in relation to the user who is logged into the DMS.

  1. When browsing documents for an object, the display of data is based on the current users permissions to see the object's documents.

  2. The document folders should are only shown if the user has access to documents in the folder.

  3. The document counts against each folder are the number of documents the user has access to, not the total number in the folder.

DCMTALL-23 Object/Project Listing Pages (aka Sales Packaging Lists)

It is now possible to dynamically create dashboard tiles as "Object Listings" of objects that provide quick/easy access to commonly used objects (ie. projects, house types, etc) and their documents

An example of this is Salespeople who need to see updated lists of commonly accessed projects, house types, etc. where they don't want to have to search for each individual object one at a time.

Note this is custom functionality that we can provide to portal licensees.

DCMTALL-24 Gallery Pages (eg. Estate, Councils, House Types) by Role

It is now possible to dynamically create dashboard tiles as "Galleries" of documents that provide quick/easy access to commonly used documents within a document structure

the best use case is Salespeople who constantly access the same "sets" of documents but don't want to have to search for each individual one each time.

DCMTALL-26 Daily Document Update Bulletin

New options have been added to the Notification on Change dialog on the Document Types screen

Below is an example of the email that is sent out if the Notify immediately of change option is selected

A new email subscription/bulletin has been added for DMS user notifications.

  • This is sent daily at 8 am.

  • Recipients are contacts in the licensee's DMS User role.

  • The bulletin lists all notifications tagged for the bulletin since the last bulletin was sent.

  • There are links in the email list against each document to "View in DMS" or "Download" based on the notification's set up to allow direct access.

DCMTALL-35 Related Object View Page Changes

The speed and usability of the Object Browse View page has been improved.

  1. The "Include?" label under the Document Management has been changed to "Enabled?".

  2. The Integration Subscriptons accordion is now shown at all times for all objects, even if there are no subscriptions.

  3. The current Dynamic Data and Integration Subscriptions are initially collapsed and lazy-load when accessed.

  4. A new lazy-load "Documents" accordion under the "Document Management" accordion has been added. This shows all documents linked to the object, with all of the normal/standard columns for document list on other pages

DCMTALL-36 Don't Collapse Search/Browse Accordions on Search

A change the behavior, on how we collapse an accordion when searching, has been implemented.

Now when performing a search the Find/Search accordions do not collapse. This applies to all areas in Document WebUser. Examples:

  1. Document Structures, Types.

  2. Generic Objects, Object Browse, Tags.

  3. Contacts.

  4. Document Search, Document Browse

  5. Document Download

  6. Framework Linked Files.

Notifications information has been added to the Contact Roles Permissions screen.

Document actions allowed.

Only Object Contact.

Allow Direct Access.

Edit Notification.

DCMTALL-47 Auto Document Find/Search for Object Listing Pages

There is a link to view an object's documents from the Object Listing pages:

Previously when you clicked the link it opened the search page with the criteria was shown and the user was required to click the Find button.

Now when the Documents link is used from an Object listing page, the Document Browse page automatically searches for the object's documents, displaying the results.

i.e. The page does not require the user to click the Find button.

DCMTWU-7 Prevent Add Document action if user cannot add any documents

Where a user doesn't have New/Add permission for any document types (ie. none), the Add Document action/button shows a message, "You do not have permission to add any documents. Please contact your System Administrator for assistance."

DCMTWU-17 Document View/Preview

The View Different Versions button has been renamed to Versions.

A "Preview" button has been added before the Download button. This provides the same preview functionality as when you preview from the document search results list

it is only enabled if the file type is suitable for Preview

DCMTWU-20 Sync/Copy Permissions Between Final/Draft Status

Setting permissions for a Document Type's Draft/Final status has been made easier.

An "Apply to Draft" option has been added that will mirror Final permissions to Draft, working the same way the File Types feature implements this, including locking the Draft tab
